Hello everyone!
It's a long time since this list of names was gathered together in an email.
I'm writing to you to see if you would be interested in going on with The Quest for the Golden Prim - in a slightly different format.
The sharp-eyed among you will notice that a new names has been added - and that's Darren Green, who is running the Splintered Rock web comic. You can see it here: http://vivacity-interactive.com/splintered_rock/index.html
It has short episodes, based around a science fiction story. At the end of each episode, readers get a chance to vote on the outcome. They have a certain number of votes each issue for registering on the site - they will get MORE votes if they buy tokens (a later phase of the game). They will then also be able to buy "boosts" for their characters - these enhancements are still in the planning stages.
I think that The Quest for the Golden Prim could be very popular presented in this way (possible still laid out as a page, possibly as single images. We'd identify which stories we wanted to tell, and where the trigger points would come (so we could then establish the episodes). We could have five or so stories running simultaneously, which could mean shorter shoot, perhaps one a month. And I think we now have the capacity of adding in other elements, like live versions of action sequences (the sword fights).
Anyway, the first step is to see how many hands go up. The second will be to get round a virtual table (which may start off as an email chain) and discuss this.
My thought would be that we would set up something and run series one again. Then we would adapt episode 1 of series two for this new format (if necessary re-shooting to accommodate changes in cast).
Let me know your thoughts!
